Fashion Fights The Flood4:09 PM
Millions of Filipinos across Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon continue to cope with the impact of the calamitous rains which struck the country last week.
In its Monday, August 13 update, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that the affected population count increased to 3.5 million people, with over a million Filipinos being served by evacuation centers. A total of 40 areas – including 10 Metro Manila cities – remain under a state of calamity. Further still, the threat of another calamitous tropical storm hitting affected areas looms large, which would further hamper recovery and relief efforts.
In light of this, ZALORA is organizing a fundraising event this Wednesday, August 15 at 8pm at Skye Lounge in Bonifacio Global City entitled Fashion Fights the Floods. There will be a P250 entrance fee to the event with all proceeds going to the following charities who are at the frontlines of the relief effort: World Vision, Hope in a Bottle,Rizal Relief Operations and Sagip Kapamilya.
The event will feature some of the country’s most-renowned bands such as Taken By Cars, Techy Romantics, Out of Body Special, Maude, Sleepwalk Circus and Cara Manglapus and The Executives who have generously agreed to donate their time and talent in support of the relief effort.
We would like to invite you to support the cause by attending the event. If you will be unable to attend, you can submit your electronic donations on the ZALORA website at the following links:

God bless you! TSG
